On this last day of 2018, I’d like to reiterate all my best wishes for a happy, prosperous and nothing short of great 2019. My friends in Europe rang in the New year a few minutes ago. As did my friends in Hong Kong and Australia and in many other parts of the world. As I am writing this, we have about 11.5 hours to go before the ball will drop @Times Square and if you are like me, you may prefer to watch the drop from the comfort of your home. I have always found it to be quite strange how people are fine with waiting for hours --in the cold -- for the ball to drop. As much as I love the St. Sylvester celebration, I have never felt the need to "line up and be one more head in the mass of heads". This said, To each his/her own.

This year, however, my celebration will entail staying at home in my most comfortable pajamas ... as I am fighting only God knows what. What is certain is that I have completely lost my voice (well ... almost ... it comes and goes but when it's there, it sure ain't pretty ...) But, friends of the page, I will be watching ... Just so you know. Today, be happy, celebrate a new beginning, and have a good time - no have a great time - and stay safe. No texting while driving, no drinking while driving ....
Again, Happy New Year. Until next year. Namaste!
