"Net neutrality: the idea, principle, or requirement that Internet service providers should or must treat all Internet data as the same regardless of its kind, source, or destination."
"Following the repeal of this rule, broadband providers would be allowed to offer faster connections to websites and customers who will pay more money, possibly creating a “fast lane” and “slow lane” of Internet service. It could also permit providers to block or limit websites or content. Judicial challenges, regulation at the state level, or federal laws passed by Congress could restore the policy."
If the broadband providers continue to offer their customers the same plans (or better ones) this might become a win-win situation for all. If, on the other hand, they decide corporate gains are more important .... there will be a "trickle down" effect and it won't be an actual good one for most of us. Gone may be the days of internet for all. The freedom of choice will become payable and will be offered in packages ... We left cable companies because of their "packages" and we may very well be headed to the same strategy with the internet.
